Total Quality Management
At Computastat we employ our own Quality Management System, which has been based on ISO9002. The system also incorporates our own Environmental Policy, which is also based on ISO14001. All of our suppliers and partners conform to our Quality Management system and are measured against its rigorous requirements.
Quality is an important factor in our business and it ensures that our Customers receive the best value and service at all times. Staff are trained and kept abreast of best practice work ethics in order to ensure that efficiency is maintained. Suppliers are vetted on a regular basis, thus allowing us to measure their performance and quality.
Our environmental policy ensures that everyone at Computastat, together with our customers and suppliers, is aware of the impact we have on the environment. Our chosen suppliers are graded on their environmental policies. Computastat is currently undergoing auditing for the FSC chain of custody accreditation and we hope to have this operational before the end of 2009. Our future programmes for 2010 include carbon footprint reduction.
‘Optima’ – our comprehensive management information system – is central to both our day-to-day operations and helps to provide a full audit trail to our quality management system. Computastat developed Optima in-house because we were not prepared to compromise; we needed a versatile management information system designed specifically for the industry. Optima has since proved so successful that even our competitors now use it.
